Why that quote?
Not everyone takes their raw abraded selves to the healing balm of the written word…or so I have been told. And yet, there is something in me that cannot comprehend it. Whether sodden with sorrow or effusing joy there is a hollow, hanging moment that waits for the bass note of echoing humanity before the chord is resolved. And when I read I am subconsciously scouring for those missing-puzzle-piece sounds of assent: yes, I am in the company of others who have thought, felt, said, dreamed, lived... this. I am not quite alone.
